Story Diagnostics — Structural Refinement — Narrative Clarity
For It Is Written.
Story Diagnostics · Structural Refinement · Narrative Clarity
For It Is Written. Unclear.
Most writers finish a draft and know — before any reader says a word — that something isn't holding. The structure bends in places it shouldn't. The pacing drops. A character makes a choice that doesn't track.
The problem is rarely the writing. It's the architecture underneath it.
For It Is Broken. We Fix It.
Structural breaks, pacing collapse, character logic failures, continuity errors — named and mapped before they reach a reader.
Not line edits. Not grammar passes. Structural repair — the kind that makes the story hold under pressure.
If it passes through Wreiton, it's ready. That's the standard. That's the deliverable.
For It Is Hidden. We Find It.
Send your manuscript, script, or chapter file with a brief on what you think isn't working. No long intake forms.
We run a full structural pass — spine, beats, scene behavior, character logic, pacing, continuity. Every break gets flagged.
Problems are named, ordered by severity, and paired with repair notes. A clear problem map — not vague suggestions.
Your diagnostic report lands within the agreed window. Clean, readable, actionable. No follow-up needed to understand it.
Services
Every tier delivers structural intelligence. The difference is depth. Choose based on where you are in the process.
Core structural pass — story spine alignment, beat mapping, pacing diagnosis, and cleanup notes. For writers who need clarity fast.
Complete structural overhaul — spine, beats, character arcs, scene-level diagnosis, continuity, and revision roadmap. The tier most writers need.
Flagship-level analysis — every structural layer examined, full continuity audit, thematic and symbol mapping, detailed diagnostic report with actionable repair plan.
Optional Engagement
For clients working with Wreiton across multiple manuscripts, episodes, or installments. A simple engagement agreement that formalizes the scope, timeline, and terms for ongoing diagnostic work — without changing how the process runs.
FAQ
Wreiton works with scripts (feature, short, pilot), novels and long-form prose, and comics or manga at any stage after a completed first draft. If you're not sure whether your format qualifies, reach out — we'll confirm before any commitment is made.
A standard editor improves prose. Wreiton diagnoses structure. We don't rewrite your sentences — we identify why the story isn't working at the architectural level: beat failures, pacing collapse, character logic breaks, continuity errors. You leave with a map of what's wrong and how to fix it, not a marked-up manuscript.
If you have a specific structural suspicion — an act that drags, a character who doesn't land — start with Spine & Beats. If you want a complete story audit before release or major revision, Full Story Cleanup is the right call. Deep Diagnostic is for clients with complex, multi-layered projects or those who need a full prioritized repair plan alongside the diagnosis.
Turnaround is confirmed at intake based on scope and current availability. Spine & Beats diagnostics typically deliver within 5–7 business days. Full Story Cleanup runs 10–14 business days. Deep Diagnostic timelines are scoped individually. All timelines are locked in writing before work begins.
No. Wreiton diagnoses — we identify problems and provide repair notes. The actual revisions are yours to make. This keeps your voice intact and ensures you understand exactly what changed and why.
Because diagnostic work begins immediately upon entering Phase 1, all payments become non-refundable once work has started. Refunds are only available if the project is canceled before any diagnostic or editorial work begins. Full details are in our .
The contract is an optional engagement layer for clients working across multiple projects — a series, ongoing installments, or several manuscripts in sequence. It formalizes scope, timeline, and terms without changing how individual diagnostics run. It's there for writers who want structure on both ends of the relationship.
